Our Purpose:

The Women's Ministry goal is to equip, encourage and embrace women of all ages, from all walks of life, on their journey toward becoming women who glorify the Lord.

We are so excited to introduce you to the First Baptist Church Women's Ministry. The Women's Ministry is a great way to grow spiritually and meet new friends, develop relationships and get connected with other women. As you can see, there are lots of activities from which you can choose to get involved and we are hopeful many more will be started as we continue to grow. All women in our community are welcome to participate in these activities even if you are not a member of our church. We would love to have you join us on our journey toward becoming women who glorify God. We look forward to helping you get involved in an area of ministry that is your gift.

September Women's Ministry Event

Dragonfly Women’s Ministries Visits FBC Smithville

On Saturday, September 12, FBC Smithville was blessed to welcome Dragonfly Women’s Ministries for a special Women’s Conference filled with worship, encouragement, testimony, prayer, and fellowship.

What a wonderful turnout we had, with more than 40 ladies in attendance! Women came together for an afternoon centered on Jesus and the reminder that no matter where we are in life or what we may be walking through, God sees us, values us, loves us, and is faithful to walk with us every step of the way.

The ladies of the Dragonfly Women’s Ministries team ministered through music and worship, personal testimonies, biblical teaching, and prayer. They openly shared experiences from their own lives and how God has seen them through difficult seasons—and how they continue to depend on Him in the everyday challenges of life.

One of the messages shared, “Don’t Just Talk It, Walk It,” encouraged the ladies to live out their faith each day, allowing their actions and lives to reflect the faith they profess.

Prayer was also a special focus of the conference. Each lady received a prayer journal, generously provided by Dragonfly Women’s Ministries, as the team shared about the importance and power of prayer. We were reminded that prayer is not simply something we do in difficult times—it is an ongoing conversation and relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Throughout the afternoon, one truth was repeated in many different ways: miracles still happen, God is still working, and every woman is valuable in His eyes. No story is insignificant, no burden is too great, and no circumstance is beyond the reach of God.

We are so thankful for Deanna Dosser, Cathy Glynn, Sherri, Debbie, Jeanne, Carol, Danni, and the entire Dragonfly Women’s Ministries team for coming to FBC Smithville and sharing their hearts, their stories, and the love of Jesus with us.

And thank you to every lady who attended and helped make this such a special day. Our prayer is that the encouragement received that afternoon did not end when the conference was over, but continues in our homes, our relationships, our prayer lives, and our daily walk with Christ.

Don’t just talk it—walk it. Keep praying. Keep believing. And never forget: God sees you, God values you, and God loves you. ❤️
